Open Datasets Request for Proposals

We are now accepting ideas for the Open Datasets Initiative to create important, open datasets in biology and machine learning.

Submitting a proposal is easy, and answering the prompts below should only take a few minutes.

Proposal Requirements:

• Overview of the needs and problem spaces you are addressing (1-2 sentences).

• Short description of the datasets that can enable solutions to biological problems (2-3 sentences).

  • Including, but not limited to: properties to be measured, type/format of data, and what similar and/or foundational data already exist.

• Brief overview of experimental methodology to be employed to collect the data (2-3 sentences).

  • Should include an overview of required methods, lab equipment, and biological assets for gathering this dataset.
